"What is Past is Prologue" Shakespeare 1564-1616
What is the Prologue Society?
...Taking it's name from Shakespeare's famous quote, "What is past is prologue," The Prologue Society is a not-for-profit organization, bringing together diverse members of our community who share a love of history. The Prologue Society hosts six luncheons each season to hear nationally and internationally recognized writers and historians on topics spanning many different cultures, geographic locations and time periods.

Where and When are the Luncheons held?
All luncheons are held on the 3rd floor of Northern Trust Bank, 1100 E. Las Olas Blvd., Ft. Lauderdale from 12 Noon to 1:30 p.m. You may bring a guest to most luncheons for a charge of $35 per guest. We ask that the same guest only attend one luncheon each season - please ask them to join after the first time!
What is the Cost?
...Dues per year to join The Prologue Society are $375 for dual memberships, $250 for individuals, and $1,200 for Corporate Members. There is an additional $50 per member charge for each luncheon attended (you receive the book as well). Guests are $35, and books are available for purchase at a nominal price. We would like to encourage guests to join!
Dues (not luncheon costs) are tax deductible. An invitation, reservation card, and reply envelope for your payment will be mailed to you prior to each luncheon. Or, alternatively,
you may print your luncheon form out here. Just send in your payment with the form. It is absolutely necessary to make your reservation with payment by mail 10 days in advance. At most luncheons a copy of the speaker's book will be provided to each member.
How do I join?
...Simply print, complete and return the Membership Form with your annual dues. Membership is limited by space available.
